I. Home Health Match Corp. (HHM) Terms of Use & Legal Policy
Effective Date: 4/2/26
Welcome to Home Health Match (“HHM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), an online platform that connects caregivers with families seeking home care services. By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, or services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and Legal Policy (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, you should not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use HHM.
- By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
- HHM reserves the right to verify age and identity at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.
2. Nature of the Platform
- HHM is a matching and communication platform.
- HHM does not provide home care services, employ caregivers, or act as an agency, broker, or employer.
- HHM does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any user, service, or interaction.
All interactions, agreements, and services are solely between users.
3. User Conduct
By using HHM, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and truthful information.
- Interact respectfully and professionally with other users.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
You agree not to:
- Post or share content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Harass, threaten, or exploit other users.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or credentials.
- Use the Platform for any fraudulent or illegal activity.
HHM reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to monitor, review, remove, block, or delete any content or user account at any time, with or without notice.
4. Account Types & Plan Restrictions
HHM offers specific plans intended for different types of users. By creating an account, you agree to select and use only the plan that accurately reflects your status.
- Each individual or entity may maintain only one active account and may not create multiple profiles across different plans.
- Users may not create or use multiple accounts, false identities, or misrepresent their status to bypass plan restrictions or gain unauthorized access to other user groups.
Restricted Use by Businesses & Organizations
- Agencies, assisted living communities, nursing homes, staffing companies, or any business entity that employs or contracts caregivers may not use plans designated for individual caregivers or seniors/families.
- These entities are required to use the designated paid business or agency plan in order to access or communicate with caregivers or families on the platform.
Prohibited Activity
The following is strictly prohibited:
- Using a personal, caregiver, or family account on behalf of a business
- Recruiting, soliciting, or attempting to hire users outside of the appropriate plan level
- Circumventing HHM’s pricing structure or outreach policies
Enforcement
HHM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Remove or restrict accounts found in violation
- Reassign accounts to the appropriate plan
- Suspend or permanently ban users
- Remove content or communications
- Take action without notice
5. Privacy & Data Use
- HHM collects, stores, and processes user information in order to operate the Platform.
- By using HHM, you consent to the collection and sharing of your information with third-party service providers, including but not limited to background check providers.
- Information shared on your profile or through communications may be visible to other users.
HHM is not responsible for how other users use or share your information.
6. Third-Party Services & Background Checks
- HHM may partner with third-party providers to offer services such as background checks.
- These services are performed by independent third parties.
- HHM does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any background check or third-party information.
By using HHM, you:
- Consent to the use of third-party services.
- Agree that HHM is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outcomes related to such services.
Background Check Refund Policy
All background check purchases are non-refundable once the background check request has been submitted and processing has commenced or has been completed by the applicant or third-party screening provider.
A refund may only be issued in the event that the background check has not yet been initiated, processed, or transmitted to any third-party verification service at the time the refund request is received.
By purchasing and authorizing a background check through Home Health Match (“HHM”), you acknowledge and agree that:
- Background checks are performed by independent third-party providers, not HHM;
- HHM does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or outcome of any background screening results;
- HHM shall not be held responsible or liable for any errors, omissions, delays, or determinations made by third-party screening providers;
- Once processing has begun, all associated costs are incurred and therefore are not eligible for refund; and
- You waive and release HHM from any and all claims, disputes, damages, or liabilities arising from or related to background check services or results.
HHM reserves the right to deny any refund request that does not meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this policy.
7. Moderation & Enforcement Rights
HHM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Remove or modify any content.
- Suspend, restrict, block, or terminate user accounts.
- Refuse service to anyone at any time.
These actions may be taken without prior notice and for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms or behavior deemed inappropriate.
8. Accessibility & ADA Compliance
- HHM strives to make the Platform as accessible as possible for all users.
- HHM does not provide home care services directly and is not responsible for whether users (caregivers or families) comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or other accessibility laws in providing or receiving services.
- HHM does not guarantee that the Platform, website, or digital services fully comply with ADA or other accessibility standards and is not responsible for any accessibility barriers or technical limitations users may encounter.
- Users are solely responsible for ensuring their own compliance with applicable accessibility laws, including but not limited to services they provide, environments they operate in, and any content they share.
- By using HHM, you agree that HHM is not liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from accessibility issues or non-compliance with ADA or similar laws.
9. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- HHM makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, availability, or suitability of the Platform or any users.
- HHM does not verify all user-provided information and makes no guarantees regarding user identity, qualifications, or conduct.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- HHM and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- HHM is not responsible for any interactions, disputes, services, or outcomes between users.
- This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to:
- Personal injury
- Financial loss
- Misrepresentation
- Service dissatisfaction
- Background check inaccuracies
- Accessibility or ADA-related claims
Your use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HHM, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your interactions with other users
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
12. Termination
HHM may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, without notice or liability.
13. Changes to Terms
HHM reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Acknowledgment
By creating an account or using HHM, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. You further acknowledge that you use the Platform at your own risk and agree not to hold HHM liable for any actions, interactions, or outcomes resulting from use of the Platform.
II. Home Health Match (HHM) Privacy Policy

Home Health Match (“HHM,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your data when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect

- Account Information: Login credentials and preferences
- User Content: Messages, profile descriptions, uploaded content

HHM does not control how other users use or share your information once it is visible to them.
4. Third-Party Services
HHM may integrate with or rely on third-party services. These providers operate independently and have their own privacy policies. HHM is not responsible for their practices.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices
You may:
- Update or delete your account information
- Opt out of certain communications
- Request account deletion (subject to legal or operational requirements)
7. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations.
8. Children’s Privacy
HHM is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Accessibility Disclaimer
While we strive to make our platform accessible, we do not guarantee compliance with all accessibility standards and are not responsible for accessibility limitations.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of HHM constitutes acceptance of changes.

III. Home Health Match (HHM) Community Guidelines

These guidelines are intended to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all users of the platform.
1. Respectful Conduct
Users must treat others with professionalism and courtesy at all times. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Accuracy & Honesty
Users are expected to provide accurate and truthful information regarding their identity, experience, qualifications, and needs. Misrepresentation of any kind is prohibited.
3. Appropriate Content
Users may not post or share content that is explicit, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate. Spam, scams, and misuse of the platform for unrelated solicitation are strictly prohibited.
4. User Safety
Users should exercise caution when sharing personal or financial information and when interacting with others on or off the platform. HHM is not responsible for user interactions outside the platform.
5. Legal Compliance
All users must comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws. Caregivers are responsible for ensuring they meet any licensing, certification, or regulatory requirements.
6. Platform Integrity
Users may not attempt to bypass platform safeguards, engage in fraudulent activity, or interfere with the proper functioning of the platform.
7. Enforcement
HHM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove content, restrict access, suspend, or terminate accounts at any time, without notice.

Disclaimer - Independent Contractor & No Agency Relationship
Home Health Match (“HHM”) is a technology platform designed solely to connect caregivers and families.
- HHM is not an employer, agency, broker, or healthcare provider.
- HHM does not hire, employ, supervise, or control caregivers or service providers.
- All caregivers operate as independent individuals or entities and are not employees or representatives of HHM.
No Employment Relationship
Nothing within the platform creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between HHM and any user. Any relationship formed is solely between the caregiver and the family.
User Responsibility
Caregivers are responsible for their own licensing, certifications, insurance, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws. Families are responsible for verifying qualifications, performing due diligence, and complying with any employment or tax obligations.
No Control or Supervision
HHM does not direct or control how services are performed, set wages or schedules, or evaluate or supervise any work performed by users.
Liability Disclaimer
By using HHM, you acknowledge and agree that HHM is not responsible for the actions, omissions, or performance of any user and is not liable for any disputes, claims, injuries, or damages arising from user interactions or services.
